Bruce Springsteen: More Regrets for Deal With Shady Chain Store Wal-Mart
There’s something about Wal-Mart that just kinda makes you roll your eyes, am I right? With it’s obsession over low-prices, Wal-Mart has managed to forget just about every other virtue in the world — including standing up for their worker’s right.
Bruce Springsteen recently told the New York Times that he ”dropped the ball” by making a deal with the giant chain devil to exclusively sell a Springsteen greatest-hits CD. Bruce said: “It was a mistake. Our batting average is usually very good, but we missed that one. Fans will call you on that stuff, as it should be.”
Springsteen has been a longtime supporter of worker’s rights and claims to have received flack from fans for his thoughtless decision.
While I’m not happy about the deal, I think it was WAY responsible for Bruce to admit he made a mistake. What do you think about Spingsteen’s decision and later apology? Are you and the Bruce man cool? Chime in and share your thoughts.
Oh and Wal-Mart, I got one word for you — UNION! AHHHHHH!!!
