Perish the thought.

Springsteen attended the premiere of “Blinded by the Light” Wednesday, Aug. 7 at the Paramount Theater on the city’s boardwalk.

The rocker walked arm in arm down the red carpet with wife Patti Scialfa and “Blinded “ director Gurinder Chanda and her family.

“No one told me that was going to happen!” said “Blinded” star Viveik Kalra.

“Blinded by the Light,” directed by Gurinder Chadha, is based on the “Greetings from Bury Park” memoir by Sarfraz Manzoor and it tells of the impact of Springsteen’s music on a South Asian Muslim teenager growing up in ‘80s England. The film features Boss music from the ‘70s and ’80s, as well as ‘80s hits by the Pet Shop Boys, a-ha, Cutting Crew, M.A.R.R.S. and more.
