With Blinded by the Light and Springsteen On Broadway making a definite mark with fans of Bruce Springsteen, now is the perfect time to be a fan of The Boss.
Then again, with 19 studio albums under his belt, you could say that it has always been a perfect time to be a fan of Springsteen because he continues to push the boundaries and thrill audiences.
Throughout his career, The Boss has consistently made incredible music with the “heart-stopping, pants-dropping, love-making, earth-quaking, Viagra-taking” E-Street Band, but there’s another incredibly important person in Springsteen’s story, Thom Zimny.
Zimny is the filmmaker that has worked with Springsteen on his previous documentaries, The Promise: The Making of Darkness on the Edge of Town and Springsteen on Broadway.
If you saw the latter on Netflix, you’ll know just how good this collaboration is.
Both men are working together on a documentary about The Boss’ latest album, Western Stars.
Zimny co-directs alongside Springsteen in his directorial debut.
The documentary will also offer fans a rare opportunity to see Springsteen perform all 13 songs on the album, backed up by a band and a full orchestra, under the cathedral ceiling of his historic nearly 100-year-old barn.
At present, an Irish release date hasn’t been set but it’s bound to be an enjoyable watch for any fans of The Boss.
Take a look at what’s in store.
